My Take on Record Store Day (Flickr)
Like a total idiot, I forgot it was record store day until I walked by Aquarius Records at about 4pm yesterday… They were all sold out of the Sonic Youth/ Jay Reatard and Sonic Youth/ Beck splits. Did anyone get one? Anyway, I did get a few things including special seven inches by the Thermals, Dengue Fever, adn Vetiver. Also got a sweet super cheap punk rock comp by ROIR.
Speaking of the Thermals, I’m going to finally post my interview and review of their new record “Now We See” later this week.
